TheSTEMGirl is focused on creating fun experiences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for youth groups, especially girls. We focus on the experiences of young women and girls  as they pursue their STEM professions.  We provide educators and parents with tools and resources to encourage girls self-confidence and self-efficacy by using research-based approaches that have proven impactful. We use storytelling to explore various STEM subjects through books, keynote speaking and creative design.

Keynotes & Speaking Engagements

Jennifer Ladipo is a recognized National speaker with expertise in STEM equity and career roadmaps. Jennifer inspires audiences to reflect on how creativity and design thinking come together to form different career pathways. Her experience as a published fiction and non-fiction author allows Jennifer to create a story that listeners can empathize with. With endless energy and humour, she creates an atmosphere where audiences are able to consider their positionally in STEM spaces.

STEM Education

TheSTEMGirl offers insights into STEM education from a research and experience-based perspective. We work with various organizations that are invested in the retention of STEM professionals and ensuring that our youth stay innovative in an ever-changing world. We have worked with organizations such as Beakerhead, The Calgary Library, Toronto Catholic District School Board, BrainSTEM Alliance, and various other industry partners.

Consulting

At TheSTEMGirl, we know the only way to move forward and tackle the complexity of our world today is by doing it together. We use a research-based approach to enable an understanding of the landscape of different ways of knowing and expressing STEM knowledge. By leveraging design thinking, we consult with STEM educators and practitioners to incorporate relevant policies and practices that ensure environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
